Re: Slack Tide on Dirty D

Monte too many variables I’ve seen it sometimes where it feels like it stays slack forever and some days where it feels like she just turned around. Depends on where your at in the system, how big the swing is. But as a 30year veteran I’m sure you know you fish the tide you got or run to the tide ya...

Re: Slammer hooks

i Upgraded my hook size and split rings to 2/0 owner 4x I believe stock was 1/0 the 2/0 makes it sit lower and my hook up ratio went way up. The only issue was occasionally the hooks would over lap but id rather refire then lose one half way to the boat.

I'd use that scale with the Cal Coast Clip N Cull. I have been eyeballing this one too good to hear that it has stood up for two years my last rapala scale did me dirty and got a hazy screen after a year of being in my boat. My good ole berkley stored in the same hatch is on its third battery and ha...

Go with the Duracell AGM's from Sams. At $179 a battery they are hard to beat. I have run them in my 13 520c and now in the 19 Lynx. They are the best battery on the market for the price of an AGM. I have yet to wear them out fishing the delta or any lake. They are a solid battery. I also picked up...

Totally agree. Line shy myth is a figment of SoCal imagination. Get bit on equal level on 17lb line with a jig in crystal clear Casitas, Pyramid or Castaic as a guy drop shottin pound line. Also slot less heartbreak after setting the hook. Another myth in my opinion is the whole "downsizing&qu...

Great discussions! DW im with you and Dee i think high pressure typically results in bluebird days which lends itself to no cloud cover, no breeze and the fish IMHO are much more on alert. 1. Bass have a preferred temperature range of water that they like to be in. - I think this is not a myth Bass thrive in water from 72 - 82 degrees. I think more to the point is not just temperature but food availability and D.O. levels. But bass will boogie to warmer structure during a cold front -...
