I'm in a kickboat and fish the delta often. Mostly around Disco or Holland but have hit Middle River and Paradise as well. Used to fish around Beacon when I had a smaller tube.
Hit me up if you have any questions. I'll be in Disco tomorrow.

What speed reel are you using? Could be a factor. I've been using a 5.8:1 and noticed that it's still too fast regardless of how slow I reel.

Delta or Berryessa - Any Backseats open this weekend?
Tired of fishing from my tube and looking to get out. Anyone heading up have an open backseat for Saturday or Sunday (7/16 or 7/17)? I will contribute gas money and help wipe down the boat after. Can launch at any time.

Hey Fellas, Haven't posted in a while. Hope you're all doing well. What's the name of the new development (looks like a smaller version of Disco) near Sandmound? What is your earliest availability (Weekends)? For the stripers it would be great if we could get on some L. Punker action, if it's there....

Heading up near Tahoe for some camping with friends this weekend. How's the fishing up there? What types of species should I expect to see? Any rules I should know about? I hear that it's C&R only, which is fine - can anyone confirm? Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Give a look at the Powell rods. For 139.99 and 169.99 depending on size, you get a light, sensitive rod. The warranty is only 40$ and is lifetime. As far as reels, you can't go wrong with Shimano - either the Curado or Citica. The Curado is my favorite reel today, and it looks great on a Powell rod...

The first question that needs to be asked is - do you have a car/ truck/ or boat? If so, I would avoid moving into the city. Most places in SF parking is not included in rent and you're looking at around $300 a month to park a car. I do have some friends that have boats out here but they own homes a...

If you're staying at State Park I don't think it will be too much of a problem. The wind is blowing south east so most of the muck is collecting in the areas near Rattlesnake.

Just got back from a camping trip at CL. Stayed near Rattlesnake point. My suggestion: Stay on the WEST side. The water in the south is like a swamp right now.
