Re: I am looking for anglers to film for TV and an web video

Tami,

For Havasu try posting on AZBassZone.com. There's a bunch of AZ fisherman who will be there this weekend for ABA, Won Bass, etc. You should be able to get plenty of local knowledge for the show.

Re: When the fish aren't talking

That's when I go to the panic box (see the other thread). As a base rule you can first start out with the Wired2Fish bait selector found here: http://blog.wired2fish.com/blog/bid/50939/Fishing-Feature-The-Wired2Fish-Bass-Fishing-Bait-Selector But you'll find that something will change and the "...

Re: Panic Box - what's in yours?

Good thing I packed my panic box this weekend as we took 3rd in the JackAZ Team tournament. Seems the only thing we could catch them on was the Panic Box as the jig bite died. My team partner also introduced me to a new item that I've made some room for. Missed 1st place by 0.13 lbs and went from ~8...

Re: Panic Box - what's in yours?

My panic box:

A few chart shad crankbaits (shallow, med depth and deep diving), a bomber 6A in delta craw, a few rattle baits (take your pick of mfr), a couple lucky craft 78DD rip baits, a couple spinnerbaits, package of 1/8oz dart heads & some nail weights.

Panic Box - what's in yours?

Topic for the day - Panic Box Here's the scenario -- you're in a tournament, your prefish pattern has changed and the fish just aren't cooperating with you. The wheels are starting to come off the bus maybe a few missed fish and you're starting to panic. You take a breather, reach into your tackle b...

Re: Windiest lakes, roughest water in the West?

1. Columbia River 2. Mead / Mohave (toss up) 3. Isabella 4. Clear Lake Also I should mention that after the BASS Central Open Lake Lewisville is definitely up there with the Columbia river. We had 3-4 foot white caps Day 1 in the protected areas west of I-35 and were too concerned for our safety to ...

BASS Central Open 1, Lake Lewisville, TX Feb 24-25, 2011

BASS Central Open 1, Lake Lewisville, TX Feb 24-25, 2011 First stop of the 2011 BASS Central Open was held on Lake Lewisville, TX in less than ideal conditions. With the recent snow during the Super Bowl and the increased fishing pressure on the lake I knew this tournament was going to be a grind fr...

Re: B.A.S.S. Really???

No, this is not ridiculous I applaud BASS for sticking to the rules as they were written. They were quite clear in the pre-tournament meeting that they will be spot checking the #1 & #2 boats in the BASS Central Open tournaments. He specifically said to all anglers that they should check to make...

I just spoke with Ashley and it looks like there is a Coangler waiting list about 7 deep at the moment as I put my name on the waiting list. Just looking to get some sort of gague if I'll g...

Re: Lake Lewisville, Tx -- Any advice?

Thanks James. After you get back I'd like to get your impression as to what sort of CA or AZ lake it fishes similar to, the water clarity and if the fish are line shy like in AZ or some CA lakes. I think I have a pretty good game plan that I would use for Nor Cal lakes or in AZ, but a little curious...

Lake Lewisville, Tx -- Any advice?

I'm fishing the Bass Central Opens as a coangler this year and the first stop is at Lake Lewisville, Tx in the end of Feb. There doesn't appear to be much info out there on the internet and was curious if anyone has fished this lake before. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Re: South Calif. flooding..

In response to the original posters question, I saw an episode on the History Channel a while back on this very same topic. In fact they did build a number of dams but ran into an issue with the geological structure of the surrounding hillside that caused the St Francis Dam to fail. Here's some back...
