Re: OG redwood handcarve
Jointed, sealed and ready for testing.

Yes I stole the joint from the best (3:16) but won't do it again as it was a pain.
No balast in it and it sits nicely. Won't add any unless it needs it for action

Designed these to profile the split tails out on the delta. Been testing them with some success.

Re: Handcarved Wake bait
So I stole components that I liked from three other baits. Joint is similar to a slammer. Profile is similar to a monster jack and tail is similar to a wake jr. I weighted it to sit steady but with the weights as far back as possible for good casting. I would consider it very noisy but not as loud a...

Gonna get a baby bass paint job Action is real nice on a slow to moderate wake and it can be cranked down about 6 inches or so. It also walks nice when you jerk the rod. Only negative right now is...

Handcarved stiper lure Prototypes
Thought I would share a few more of my creations http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/mm108/mikepro75/Protos.jpg Designed these to be more of a slim anchovie/smelt profile for our bay/ocean/delta The big one is 12" of wood (not counting tail) and is a first draft of a sacramento splitail The two ...

memorable day
I wish you all could see my smile but I have been waiting for this day my hole life. A few days ago my 3 year old daughter suggested that I get her and my son fishing poles while in walmart. She wanted a princes one and picked a nice zebco 33 and cheap rod for my son. They have both been praticing c...

DIY Topwater
I started doing these lures a few years ago as I love the design of the lunker punker but wanted a heavy duty lure geared towards catching trophy stripers. I started making a 10 inch version but recently decided I would make something smaller for my bay and delta spots. Here is the lure making proce...
