Fishing Oroville Lake 08/15/2018

Decent fishing today. Got launched at 5:30 am, stopped fishing right at 9:30 am. Fished the point at the end of the boat dock first, and picked up 14 spots, spent 1 1/4 hours working back and forth. No giants, but all decent 13 to 13 1/2" fish. Remember, catch a fish, stay on the location, work...

I drag very simple Carolina rig, just a 1/8 oz. bullet weight, McCoy bobber stopper with about a 15" tail. Work it on the bottom, drag down the bank to desired depth. Many times bite on the fall, most times as dragging the bottom. When deeper, like yoyo fishing, lift, drop, etc. Texas rigs does...

Launching tends not to be the issue, find a slot where less large wood, and launch, it will push the wood back and you'll be fine, just go slow and no prop issues. If the winds don't change directions, the wood stays on the ramp, then sometimes blows out to mid bay area, and clean ramp to haul the b...
