Re: Ranger Drops Ike!
Now I'm just an avid weekend angler but I keep a close eye on the Pro's and the Tourney's. I just have to say I sit back and laugh at most of the comments I read on this subject. Heaven forbid a person show a little passion in what they do. Seems to me people would rather have emotionless robots fis...

Re: It doesn't help...
I was wondering about those low levels. I used to fish Folsom a few times per month until I moved out by Marysville a year and half ago. I thought maybe my memory was gone cause I could not remember it being so low!

Re: These fools were the minority...
I agree Scott. I don't back all the way down but have seen many do it. In a tourney it is more understandable as EVERYONE should know what they are doing! All I needed was less then 5 minutes to go get my truck, I don't need the dock to trailer the boat! The bad part is it really discouraged my budd...

Not everybody knows how to drive a boat
OK I have to get this off my chest. After arguing with many JERKS Saturday out at folsom. Just because there are 2 people on a boat that does not mean they both know how to drive the boat. If you are in such a big hurry that you can't wait at the launch like everyone else then STAY HOME! Not to ment...

Thanks everyone. I don't mind spending $$ on something I enjoy. After all I have a Salt water fish tank hobby that cost an arm and a leg. If not for that I would have some nice tourney rigs

Re: What is the best Rod for..
LOL , not me. I just went and spent $30 on a Uglystick rod to put my curado on. I have been Bass fishing for many years and am lucky enough to have about 5-6 poles I bring with me. The only reason I do that is to have diff. baits tied on so I can save time. I have entered a few tourneys and even cam...

Thanks Fella's since the wife stopped working to stay home with my son I'm lucky to have a $100 for a rod/reel combo
That's why I had to buy the Curado before she quit

Re: Advise for Folsom Lake needed
Thanks, It has 10lb test on it right now. Are spinning rods better for swimbaits? I have a 19' bayliner fish/ski that is fully rigged for fishing ( I don't ski but needed a family type boat) Good luck out there if I see ya we will say hi!

You can make reservations at the many campsites around lake oroville through reserveamerica. I understand that the campsites may be closed certain times of the year but to claim they do not take reservations is incorrect. The campsites at the marina take reservations from April through August. In t...

Throwing Jerk Baits? Also what about flippin Senkos? I'm just a weekend basser so I don't have the best equipment. I have several spinning rods/reels in diff. lengths and I have a 7' uglystick baitcaster with a Curado reel ( best reel I have ever owned)!

Re: Advise for Folsom Lake needed
I have fished Folsom for years but sometimes it just stumps me. I was thinking of throwing some swim baits and maybe carolina riged lizards in the sunken trees. Maybe a jerk bait to try and locate the fish. My best luck has always been on the main lake by Browns Ravine as well as the rock piles at B...

GREAT POST! After reading all the threads lately I am skeptical on bringing the family there. We already boycotted the camp grounds last year since they don't take reservations and you could drive all the way there and be @$$ out!

Re: Worms can melt my boat.
I just have a 2001 Bayliner Fish/ski boat set up for mainly fishing. I left some rubber worms in the drink holders and sure enough it melted a big groove in the plastic. You would think they would make these boats a little more durable these days!

Re: dissapointed
The fishing was terrible at best on oroville. Went out from Lime Saddle Fished from the logs back for about 3 1/2 hrs, only 2 bites no fish. Seen a few Bass Boats but it looked as if no one was catching anything. Finally gave up and tried some live worms and at least my wife caught a keeper trout. I...

my son is only 2 1/2 and was casting a spongebob pole by 2. He asks at least once a week if we can take the boat out and go fishing. We make it a point to get him out of the house as much as possible. During the winter we usually take him to the lake/pond in Marysville. I told him he has to become a...

Has anyone fished this place? I tried it for the first time last summer. Caught a ton of Fat catfish but the bass fishing was slow. looks like a killer place during the right season. Doesn't open until Late march early April. I would think the spawn here would be great as the Lake had a ton of cover...

TIPS NEEDED FOR OROVILLE LAKE
Hello everyone. Well me my son and wife had a blast 2 weeks ago at Collins lake catching about 30 or more Bluegill. My son is only 2 and it was his first time actually catching a fish. I would hook them and let him reel them in. It was more fun then myself catching a 10lb bucket mouth. So we are hea...
