Re: Calling any and all fire fighters...
The average day in the life.... Cant speak for all fire fighters, but as for my Cal Fire roommate and friends, their average day consits of sitting around playing Halo 3 on Xbox live with all of the other stations and eating the best food tax payers allow. Lots of Fillet mignons. But on occassion th...

Re: DFG to conduct Boat inspections at Clear Lake this week.
I was recently told this, and i dont know true it is, (maybe the biologist can chime in) that useing the live well formula Catch and Release will kill all of those critters in your live well and system and should be used instead of Rejuvenade which does not do this. Something to look into.

Re: When is it time to turn Pro?
I think your question really is, when is the right time to be a boater? Fishing from the front of the boat doesnt make you a pro. As you probably know, must of the guys you draw and fish behind arent real pros. But theres nothing wrong with that as long as they know what thier doing. I think what yo...

Actually it helps us! Someone or something needs to scare them up and get them flying towards us so we can shoot em! Forget the Coots, flush out those Mallards!

Re: OK, READY TO CHANGE CULL SCALE AND MARKERS
The X-Tools clips work really well and even better if you do the modification. However, the scale is pretty weak. I like the fish lipper and the easy to use software, but the accuracy is lacking. The number one complaint i have about it is that it wont work in cold weather. This year at the FLW Shas...

Help! Which boats do Tall People own?
I'm 6'-7" and having a heck of a time finding a boat I can fit into. I was looking at buying something used but newer. Any advice? I have sat in most of the Rangers and as much as I like them, I don't fit in them. I kind of fit in the Skeeter 20i and heard I would fit in a Champion, but have ne...

Re: 1 oz spinnerbaits
Palmer, you know im not too concerned with my ledgebuster wasting away in the sun. It never sees the light of day! Thats my nighttime bait. with the amount of rocks i cast that thing into in the darkness, the sun and moon light is the least of its worries.

Re: Keswick Lake
Ive never heard of anyone catching a bass out of there. Only large trout like the previous poster mentioned. Very cold water. If you do pull a bass out of there, let me know! I'll fire up the river boat!

Cant go wrong with a Ledge Buster. They are made in colorado and willow blades, different colors, and go all the way up to 1-1/2 oz.

Re: DFG???
A while back i heard that the head official for DFG had never even owned a fishing or hunting license. (which might explain why the costs and problems keep going up) If you want a change, you need to start at the top with the politicians. And on a side note, if you think DFG is bad, just hope you do...

Re: The future of tournament fishing?
I would never enter a contest like that. Its way to easy for someone to cheat. i could scan a ruler or soft tape measure, scale it down then print it out and crop. (now i can get a few extra inches each time i measure) next i could catch a fish on any day and just photoshop the daily numbers into th...

Re: Need help in selecting an Auto Inflatable PFD
Thanks mark. Thats good advice. i guess you get what you pay for right? Im under the impression that a USCG-Type-III approved jacket doesnt need to be worn at all times. Is this true?

Need help in selecting an Auto Inflatable PFD
Im in the market for auto inflatable PFD and was wondering which ones are the best for me. I would like something under $200 and large enough for a XL guy wearing raingear. I would also like it to be USCG-Type-III approved. I have seen the Mustang and SOSpenders (do not know which is better) but was...
