I think there will definately be a couple of fish over 10 but you never know I am calling a 12 lber to win. It will be late January you know and most toads come from Casitas January, Febuary, and March.

I wasn't saying that I will be catching fish like that this january or that I am an amazing tournement fisherman but the point I was trying to make is that I feel that the winning fish will definately be over 10lbs because of the time of year(prespawn) and the forage,(stocked trout). Well the last three januarys (2005 - 10.5lbs ,2006 -13.0lbs ,2007 -11.0lbs) I have had at least one fish over ten each time as well as my personal best was also in Jan. I am sure the winning fish will be over 10, probably around 12 lbs.

I talked with Ranger Rob from the lake and the way it sounds it is not as big of a deal asthey are making it out to be. I wouldn't lose any sleep over it.

I was curious... I hear that there is some guy at Casitas that has been throwing bib baits with a 10 foot rod is that true? If it is what kind of advantages does it give a person? I think this is just a case of over compensation for poor casting ability or ...maybe something else?
