We use to smoke em on big baits out there. Then they said something about Trout eating frogs so they stopped stocking the smaller Trout. The suck kicked in after that.

I had a trim unit for sale and the buyer just wanted the side plate for this reason. He paid full price and said keep the unit and just sell me the side plate.

No giants but we did catch 16. Water was up about 20 feet from last week. That Dark day ramp walk is getting to be a lot less lol.

I've yet to have any issues. I did hear a couple guys on BBC had water in the head and Minn kota took care of them.
Other than that I haven't heard of any other issues.

I have 16 Ecodiesel 4x4 Tradesmen. The only thing I pull is a 20' Triton. Tows awesome but really light in the rear. It will spin the tires on the ramp. Advertised gas mileage is misleading. The only way I get 25 mpg is on the freeway doing 50mph and that's a good way to get ran over. I average 19....

I bought a new 2015 Ram 2500 cummins 4x4 crew cab. Truck has been awesome. I paid 40k brand new for it and its a lot of truck for the money. When you buy go to Idaho ave smith and you'll get the best deal. They even pick you up at the airport.

I fish for smallies 99% of the time. It just happens that these lakes have lot of trout. I caught a nice on on a 5in swim bait, one on a S waver, a bunch on crankbaits and a few on poppers. My last one was 4lbs. I have the trout guys asking what Im using lol. So yeah I would think so.

I towed for years on 24's on my ram. Never one issue. Make sure you stay away from forged rims because they will bend. Cast will break but they are a lot harder. When I ran a wheel shop MOST of the time the rim was the issue. That and crappy driving lol. No you cant go over a curb with a low profile...
