Said his boat was unstrapped and when he punched the trucks accelerator the truck and trailer took off and his boat didn't. Just left it behind. I didn't think that was possible.

I use an ultrasonic jewelry cleaner filled with Pine Sol. Run your reel through that solution a couple cycles, rinse and dry with compressed air or air dry. Oil and lube.
If you have two like reels it's easier since you can use the other reel as reference.

Any type of vessel that is powered other than human powered is required to have CF #s, registration, and a mussel sticker if used in fresh water.

My day 3 AM for the Pedro WWBT stayed there. He didn't say anything negative about the place but if you look at the reviews on Trip Advisor they're pretty bad. The Suites in the pics look pretty nice. I wouldn't be surprised if their lower priced rooms were dumps so be careful if you book.

Evidently nothing has to be done out here. With the exception of a couple lakes that have far too many small spotted bass the fishing in Northern CA is excellent. I'm guessing the best bass lake in Arkansas is no better then New Melones or Don Pedro.

I had one of my best days ever on the delta Monday. I didn't catch more then a dozen or so fish but I caught a 9.5#, 7#, and a 6.5# plus a couple 3's. No bed fish. My fish were clean so I doubt if many fish have even tried to spawn yet.

I was out there yesterday and the water appeared to be 50% clearer then it was a week ago. Looked pretty good to me. Going back out tomorrow so I hope one day didn't change things.

I was out Saturday and couldn't see anything in that muddy water. The clearer water I did find had muck bottoms and no fish. You done good if you found an area that was clear and held the numbers of fish that you say.

You can probably do that trip on $1500 or so. Sleep in a tent and make your lunch. It will be so much more rewarding in the end if you do it all on your own. You don't need more tackle or amenities. Go down there and kick there butt doing what you guys do. Keep it simple and it will happen.

They jack up the prices so they can offer buy 1 get 1 at half price or similar type deals. I haven't seen the buy one get one free deal for senkos or keitechs. That would be a good deal but they usually carry every color but the color you want.

I use usually throw it wacky style with a small 1/0 or 2/0 hook on a casting rod with 15# fluoro. I generally do better catching larger fish with it if I concentrate more on isolated cover like tule clumps or points. I recently bought a new motor from Jet-A-Marina in Kentucky. They shipped it to C&C and I had C&C install it. Motor was significantly cheaper and there was no sales tax. Bob's marine in Modesto is reasonable on his motors but he doesn't deal in Evinrude's which is what I was after.

That's a nice winter bag. I think it was quite a bit windier on Tuesday so I bet that helped the bite or maybe the dirtier water was the ticket or both. Either way it will be a while before I head back out there.

The turd that shut all the parks down last time is out of office. The Feds choose on what stays open or funded during the shut down. Last time this happened the Republicans wanted to keep the parks open but Obama chose otherwise. We'll have to wait and see.
