Ok thanks guys. Ya i was thinking something around 8 weight. Although now i'm looking at the Orvis Clearwater fly rod. And thanks for the rec on the fly shop.I'll stop by Kienes and ask for their advice.

I know it sounds crazy but i've been wanting to try to fish for striper on a fly rod. Can anybody recommend a good one? A buddy told me the Redington Predator would be good.
