If you like catching small fish don't go!

Phil

Friday would be an easier launch for sure, but Saturday evennigs at the ramp make for some great sight fishing! Either way is ok with me!

ESCALON BAIT AND TACKLE BURGLARY **REWARD FOR INFORMATION..

Escalon bait and tackle was broken into on Monday night and had about 10K worth of high end reels stolen, the low lifes that did this appearently new the difference between low end and high end reels, as they only took Curados, Calcuttas, Stellas, Chronarch Mg, and passed on all of the cheap stuff t...

Re: Trailer Springs

The trailer is a 2001 EZ Loader Custom, that came with a 2001 Champion 196, I spoke with the warranty guy at EZ Loader because they had a spring recall on my trailer replacing a single leaf with a three leaf, and he said they have not had many complaints about the new heavy springs failing, but I kn...

Trailer Springs

Ok - I have read all of the threads about spring failure, and never thought it would happen to me, well Sunday it did, right side spring snapped and resulted in severe trauma to the right side of my trailer, now I get to wait on the insurance company to see what they will cover. Fortunatly this happ...

Sorry Drop-Shotters!...

Would you shut up and get back to work! I was reading the page you are reffering to in the regulations and not only is fish and game not clear on the snagging issue, look at 2.10.B4 " It is unlawful to use any weight directly attached below a hook." I guess drop shotting is not legal eithe...

Re: No ABA Results once again..........

I agree they are a little slow, but this seems like a really silly thing to bash them about. If you fished the event and the results are that important to you, then hang around the weigh in and listen, then go to the awards and support the guys that did well so at the end of the day you would know t...

Hitman - Thats funny "Catch and Grease" My buddies tease me about calling my "will-e-go board" the "will-e-fry" board! The tacos are really good, the best part is the wife likes them so much, she encourages me to fish more!

Re: OK Here you go...(long)

OK - Everyone that knows me knows I eat fish all the time. It makes no difference whether they are spots, largies or smallies, the key is size. The perfect size is 12 - 15 inches. The next consideration is location fish out of Clearlake and the Delta are out, that would be like eating fish out of a ...

Re: REACTION STRIKE VRS HUDDLESTON

Cooch - I agree on the preditory tactics, not good business, but the bottom line is the Huddleston is a better bait and when the bite is tough it will out produce most other swimbaits. Those other Senkos and Other spinnerbaits also will catch fish at times, but if you have money on the line, the bit...

Re: REACTION STRIKE VRS HUDDLESTON

I have used both of them as well and all I will say is you get what you pay for, the BH is a watered down cheap huddleston copy, in most cases more kick is not a good thing, unless you are fishing off colored water or at night. Also the BH sinks like a brick, even the slow fall model, sinks faster t...
