I have the 683 and love this rod. Use it for anything from rip baits to dropshot. Caught 10.70 a few months back and the rod handled the fish perfectly.

And the two years prior to that it took about 18 lbs each year. The weights for most the tourneys on Shasta this year have been lower but the way I look at it, it just means that we will be able to pay back more places!
