Hey BassTraveler, here's a few more examples of hypocrisy.
Kind of like Bush saying he's for a culture of life yet supports the death penalty and refuses to allow funding of stem cell research that could save the lives of thousands of people dying each year. Kind of like Arnold calling nurses, teachers, and firefighters "special interests" and yet...

There's got to be another way...
OMG that thing is fugly. To each his own I guess. Kind of reminds me of the pt-cruisers. When they first came out the wife and I thought it was the most butt-ugly thing on the road but the way they sold I guess a lot of people liked them.

Speedometer values are usually way too high.
The only way a Skeeter with a 150 could run 73 mph is if it's being towed down the highway. Heck my TR186 speedo used to read 78 mph, but the best I've managed is 66 mph and that's with a 175. Stock speedos are basically useless. It's funny how they always read high and never low.

Re: need help on getting a boat.
I would go with more of a V-hull boat rather than a jon boat. Folsom can get rough when the wind picks up and a jon boat could be dangerous in those conditions. You ought to be able to pick up an alluminum v-hull with a 20-40 hp motor if you are patient.

Ditto
What we need is an open container law for boats. Not only will that make the water safer, I bet it would cut down the weekend boat traffic by at least half. I notice signs at Folsom saying alcohol prohibited. Does that include while on the water as well?
