Re: Respecting other anglers
My experiences have varied from good to bad etiquette on the Delta. I'm not a tournament fisherman. My favorite was years ago I pulled into a small cove on Franks Tract that was part of my "milk run". I normally caught 1-2 pound fish there. Early one morning I pulled up and there was a man...

Re: B.A.S.S. final day weighin
Personally, I've never found BassTrack to be very accurate, regardless of the time of day! The problem with the last tourney was that Basstrak was the actual weights the marshals recorded of each angler's fish, so it was a true tally, not just a guestimate. If B.A.S.S. decides to use that format ag...

Hey folks, first off I don't work for Six Gill products, nor do I know anyone that does. So, I have nothing to gain by endorsing their baitcast reels. That's a good citizen in the making. Some of my fondest memories are of my 6 year old son and 8 year old daughter in the bass boat with me, rarely together at the same time. I'm not a Mercury guy, although I believe they build an excellent product. Hello folks, from looking at a map of the Delta I see Whiskey Slough is connected to Victoria Canal via Trapper Slough. Can one actually navigate Trapper Slough in a boat? When launching at Whiskey Slough my understanding is one can only leave Whiskey in one direction, north towards Empire Cut.

I can't imagine wakeboarders adhering to this restriction once they all hit the water. I'm still obeying it with my bass boat, but the bulk of the problem is/will be the cruisers and wakeboarders throwing 4 foot wakes.

As strict as most tournaments are about obeying laws, I'm surprised the current speed limit hasn't been strongly encouraged. It would most certainly add an interesting twist for guys not being able to get to some of their best spots because of geographics and travel time.

Thanks for posting this, Cooch. I feel like I'm one of the very few that are trying to obey the speed limit.
I fully understand the temptation to ignore the speed limit since a trimmed out bass boat on plane probably throws the smallest wake of all powered watercraft on the Delta.
