Most batts these days are crap ! I have been thru Optimas,Diehard platniums (Odyssey),Dekas. ! I always seem to get a bad one!... best one for the money' is a walley world" Everstart Maxx" ! never had one go bad on me " they only cost $100 !.. they only last 2 or 3 years ! but why pay...

Any dates yet for the Clear Lake Open' next year ?.... hopefully it won't be stacked on top all the other March tourneys ?... I see WWBT is ther in March' along with the C of C tourney !

Do not use viniger' or ammonia or anything acidic on the touch screen units ! according to Lowrance " it will take the "anti glare" coating off !

if you ever want to know the difference between Opti oil " & all the rest " just look at the inside of your prop !... with any other oil " it will be dirty!. or even black ! with Opti oil' it will run clean ! that's worth the extra $ to me !....

I use only "Optimax/DFI " oil from Mercury ! is what they recommend ' for the Opti's... It's around $45 a gallon on the shelf of your local dealers "Ouch" !my buddies & I pooled our $ " bought a 55 gal drum ! that brought the price down to a more acceptable $27 a gal

The weed spraying contracts are probably run just like the military !.. the more they spray the more they can apply for the next year!... it's a joke ' they could probably do the same job with a fraction of what they have sprayed this year !....

Watch out for launch ramp "boneheads"!... my self & many buddies have returned to the ramp after a day of fishing " just to find out some idiot has clipped your truck or trailer ! lot of these weekend warriors" don't have a clue how to back up' or park a boat trailer...

I have a 06 Dodge Ram 5.9 Cummins ' it has been the best truck I have ever owned ! pulls my boat over hwy 20 to Clear lake ' like it's not even there ! 17mpg towing 20mpg fwy " Dodge Trannys are fine " until you start towing super heavy loads or hot rodding !I am loving the price of diesel...
