Re: Top Stick DVL Draw for Saturday April 5

Considering how good the bite is at DVL right now, I wouldn't be surprised if the back seater brings in the larger fish for most of the bag.

Well then I guess I will pick Jay Wright. His partner weighed in a fish just over 6 on Sunday so I know he can catch 'em and I know Jay does well out at d.v.l. as well. Jay definitely has a good draw. Eduard sure can put better quality fish from the back of the boat. He is one dropshotting, ika, se...

Re: I prefer reels over reals.. but that's just me

I was once a big fan of Daiwa reels, but have recently shifted to more Shimano reels (especially spinning reels). I am so tired of of swapping out the drags on Daiwa baitcasters as soon as I purchase one. I have to pay $8-12 bucks for a set of Carbontex washers and spend another 20-30mins on each re...

Nice fish Sid! I did fish the Kfrog event and farmed 4 solid fish on that exact bait. The front hook is a 2/0 and back is a 1/0 Owner ST-5636. I was fishing it on 25# mono. Closer inspection of my bait resulted in tiny teeth scrapings on the top portion of the third joint. Any suggestions on proper ...

Re: 100% P-Line Florocarbon #15

The general rule of thumb is to use stiffer lines on casting reels and softer lines on spinning. If you were to ever try some of Sunline monofiloment on baitcasting, you will notice the line flies off the spool because it is limp and silky smooth. This is not a problem if you know what you are doing...

My friend Ronaldo Kim (ronniek@gmail.com) preregistered for the bass event ($95 check) and can't make it tomorrow and was wondering it either someone can take his spot or if he can get a refund. He tried calling the station and has sent emails but hasn't been contacted by anyone.

Limit First or 5 Bites?

There were two articles featured on the home page of this site. The first article suggested most tournament anglers should use tactics that catch numbers and hope to catch a kicker fish in the mix. On the flip side of things, Gary Dobyn's article suggested the complete opposite. In his article, he m...

The Pro I was scheduled to Pre-Fish March 7-10th possibly may not fish this event and I am looking for a boater who is looking to share Pre-Fishing expenses.

If you are interested, please contact me ASAP. I will gladly pay $40 a day.

I use flouro a lot when I split shot. For bigger baits, the sinking properties of flouro don't really make a difference. I usually won't fish it on anything smaller than a 4,5" Robo. Also, I typically use a heavier Mojo with a larger bait, i.e. I'll use a 1/4 oz. in deeper water with a 6"...
