Re: Flippin Stick for 5'5" boy of 13
Elliot- it is a little bit different casting with a 8 ft rod and flipping/ pitching with one. To answer the original question. I am almost 16 and 5'8" and yes I can use a 7'6" flippin stick, and yes I do alright with it. It took me a little while to get used to it though, and I still find ...

Re: Another braid question
I use a uni to uni knot, and sometimes a blood knot. I think that these knots are the norm for tying braid to mono. Someone correct me if I'm wrong
Check out animatedknots.com - it is a pretty cool site with instructions on how to tie some knots.
Hope this helps you some,

Looks like it could be about 6. It has a large mouth/head which implies bigger fish, yet is it short, which implies the opposite. Just an opinion, but either way, that is an awesome fish!

Has anyone tried this bait? It looks similar to a Basstrix with some realistic colors. I have some of the Hawg Shad that they make, and they work well, so I just wanted to know if it was worth purchasing any. Looks like it will work pretty well as long as it is flexible enough. Any input would be gr...

Sweet! I sort of like the triangular livewell lids. It is going to be hard to keep your boat for more than a year, with all of these nice looking rigs coming out each year. Especially if you want the newest, biggest, and baddest boat.
I wonder what it is going to cost?

I know that I have had a few problems over the years using Spiderwire, and Power Pro. The Spiderwire Stealth worked better than the original, and the Power Pro was better than the Wire. I would break the line here or there with both, more so with the Wire, but not often enough to stop using it. Rece...

Does anyone know if they will ever open this lake? It is located by Del Valle, in Alameda county, supposedly there are big trout and big largies in there. My hotmaps even has it on there. I think that it would be a great lake for swimbaits.

I think that it comes with a heavy-duty snap to throw it with. i know that the shellcracker does. If it does, then throw it with the snap, and if not, I'd either buy a large snap, ar tie direct. I have yet to try the bait, but others who have wil tell you how they throw it.

Grant and Jeremy come up with an idea, make a prototype, then make it into a mold. After that, they make a resin model, which they send to their factory so that the baits can be HAND CARVED to their specifications. The workers use the resin molds as a model for the real deal.
