I apologize in advance for bringing up this topic again ...
The SD Union Tribune wrote an article on the SanV incident. My intent is simply to share what was written, not to start another string of negative posts. I am extremely confident that John Barron and Mike Peterson at National Bass are handling things in the best interest of the honest tournament anglers. So no negative posts, please!!

It's sad.....
It's sad to see it happen but as a realist I think it might happen to be good for our sport. Not everyone knows what can and most likley will happen when or if caught. Myself, I'm glad this happened! I don't know or care to know "THE TEAM" but I would wish them the best. It will not be easy for them!! Hopefully if some other team or angler for that matter gets the urge to cheat they could reflect on what has happened(most likley they won't). This could be the footprint of an established standard on what should be done(or could be done) if and when it happens again.

So it sounds like they were snagging fish? Is that correct?
Re: I apologize in advance for bringing up this topic again
They were videotaped snagging fish in two feet of water after sighting them. Then they put the fish on their decks and sealup wounds and reapplied lost scales to the wounds with swimbait glue.

Thats pretty blatant. I dont think there is any justification for doing that. Glad they caught the guys on tape.

Hi this is my first post.
Why would this be illegal in a tournament? Did they do it like days before the tourney?
tnx.

It's illegal, both in tournaments and with the DFG, to sight fish and then snag them or catch them any other way then in the mouth.
