Just Amazing with that Wind and Waves!

Post by kopper_bass »

Whoever caught that fish must've been some brave souls or actually launched up north, 'cause i headed out there on Sunday for just a fun day of sun & fishing, hoping to catch 10-20 fish and go home but was very dissapointed.

Well, i launched out of Capell Cove and i was headed out of the 5zone ready to hit the narrows, i could not figure out why there was a boat on every single point in the cove. There must have been 50-60 boats in there.

Well, when i got out to the main body, i figured it out. The wind was whipping the lake up something fierce. The waves rolling in down there were 6 footers easily and not worth the ride to even venture out (especially being by myself).

I putted around in Capell cove for 2 hours without a bite and i didnt see anyone else catching a fish either. I packed up and went home to watch football.

Congrats to the guys who stuck it out and caught a good one.

I knew it - Da@#it!

I knew you were gonna say that. Guess that goes to show that you shouldn't ever give up ....... when in a tourney that is.

I didnt even bother fishing any of those better spots in the cove because the guys who were in the tourney had them blanketed and i figured it was best to just let them fish it and get a bite vs. me. I was just out to have some fun!

Still glad they got it. Great job.
Hope that courtesy comes around to helping me someday. Har!

Bob Pisani caught the fish in 40' of water on a Jig, from what I understand he thought he was hung up.
They never made the ride out into the main lake other than seeing it what just too freaking rough. They stayed in Capell Cove all day.
