dobyns rod question

hi i got a question if anyone has this rod dobyns champ extreme hp split casting rod just opened it and i noticed the rod blank thats the split piece in between the two corks and the the rod blank thats above the words that says champ extreme around six inches of the rod they are both UN finished is that normal thanks george

George call the office. the people there are always happy to help and will take care of it. been using these rods for years and have had nothing but good things to say about the dobyns family and crew

Hi George,

Thanks for the pics.

That is very expensive decorative wrapping and it’s supposed to look like that. It’s done on purpose and reduces weight from all the added epoxy.
