Lake mohave
Lake mohave
Hey I was wondering if anyone new if I lauched out of willow beach. Can I make it to cottonwood with out any problems. I see on the map it reads rapids in two places and I will be taking my 4 year old boy and did not need a crazy ride. Thanks in advance
Re: Lake mohave
I use to go camping on Cottonwood with my family every summer. We would take a boat ride up to willow beach (actualy under the gie wire all the way up to hoover damn) from Cottonwood without a problem.
There are no rapids to speak of there is FAST moving water that is ultra clear and ultra cool all year around. It is actualy a very secnic trip, big horns, coyotes, donkeys, Salmon or trout up at the damn.
I think it would be an excellent trip for your son and your family.
Bass regards
Jonathan

Re: Lake mohave
If you launch at Willow Beach and head toward Cotton Wood Cove you will not hit any rapids. Any rapids are the other way.It is quite a trip from Willow Beach to Cotton Wood. The one thing I would be careful about is the weather. if the wind comes up it can be miserable and sometimes dangerous. It is a great boat ride if the weather is nice. If you are coming over the Dam going to Willow Beach you will have to go through a security check it takes about 5 minutes. Vern
