Last Thursday, 51 to 53, best clarity I saw was 3 feet vis in Markley, but as soon as you head towards main lake, becomes 1ft to 2ft vis. I fished the narrows all day and 1 to 2 was norm. Water level is a foot ir two from the top of the glory hole, so water is high, creating wood structure now in the water all over the lake. Gonna be an excellent spawn for bass, crappie, and bream this year. Most coves had a creek flowing in from the back....will only continue this week.

Be Careful!!

Lots more rain coming this week. This is why I tell people from all over the country, California is a state of "Feast or Famine." Anyone remember a "normal" precipitation year in California?? Either too much or too little. This weeks storms will be warmer which should help the shallow bite some. When the lake fills and goes over the Glory Hole - lots of floating stuff everywhere!! Don't recommend full speed in your floating rockets!!

It's full and spilling over we saw the lake dropping throughout the day last weekend. Water color WAS as said best in Markley and dirty to muddy as you went north as expected. The floatilla and water change was just north of Skiers but I am sure with a weeks with of storms and 3-5" of water its gonna be rollin chocolate milk. As stated it's been cold lately but these fish have a biological clock ticking so any warmth should see a bit of activity. Dont worry about the water color - it's affecting more fisherman than it is FISH - See ya out on the water!

oops temps have been 50-51 and we found some areas that had 52-53 those are few and far between it's been cold up there and the wind has been doing fairly well at mixing the water.

Was out today and can confirm that the glory hole is spilling over. As stated previously, water has a pretty good stain to it and the best clarity is in or around Markley.

Water temps were low 50’s just about everywhere. Did not see the floatilla but didn’t make it past the ranch house due to the wind. There are fish to be had but you have to work your a$$ off for them (well we did at least). Regardless, I would say based on what I saw the majority of the lake is fishable. Just my .02 cents
