I hear there are 8 foot waves breaking on the bridge over Rodman slough. That means the wind is coming from the wrong direction. When my folks owned a resort in Glenhaven in the 70's our floating gas dock was thrown up over our sea wall and landed in our front yard! Catching A fish much less five is going to be difficult at best. I was thinking about Ron C being out there in his new boat and wondering what it and he will look like after prefish and the tournament. It's going to be hairy out there at best and I hope respectful judgement of mother natures power is used by all competitors as I have had reels broken in the rod locker trying to traverse that open water in less than pretty conditions. Local knowledge of where to go and what to do in this slop should give guys like Sieg and Cameron and Ross a bit of an edge. It's a shame this weather front came through as the weights were at 30+ pounds last week in the WON team event...I foresee alot of the competition sitting it out in the Keys and like structure and then trying to survive the trip back to the weigh-in.

Man do I hate that shallow basin when the wind blows across it. Most of the good stuff is probably blown out and all muddy by now and will not change for a few days.

After the Stren Havasu, I think this is one I wont mind sitting on the sidelines for. Bad weather is one thing, but that just sounds dangerous. Reminds me of that Mojave WON tournament we had 2 years back where the guy got pitched from his boat. Hope those guys stay safe and keep those SOSpenders on at all times.
