Update for the Kid's division, we will have 15 rods and reels to be awarded to the top 15 future pro anglers (12 and under). We will award some other prizes including tackle boxes, lures and miscellaneous product from our sponsors. Looking forward to seeing some smiles on the kids and parents. Kid's don't need to register, fish anytime on Saturday but bring your largest three fish to the weigh-in at Redbud Park starting at 1:00 and the scales close at 2:30.
We're looking forward to our "Kids Fish Free" derby which will be held in conjunction with our last crappie tournament of the season, April 27th. We will be launching at the Redbud boat ramp and sign-ups for the event will be at Clearlake Bait & Tackle Friday 3:00 to 6:00. If you have kid's fishing in the free fishing derby there is is no need to sign up. Finally, our lake is at normal pool and spring is here. No rain in the future forecast. Water temps in the mid-'70's and the fish are moving shallow. The spawn is on for both the crappie and the bass. Special thanks to Alan and Sportsman's Warehouse for the donations to the kid's event.
