For those who haven't heard, Dan Fisher has passed away.

Dan's bout with cancer took a rapid turn for the worse this last week and he passed away Friday. Our Prayers and condolences go out to the Fisher family. We should be hearing about the services soon.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Fisher family. Hope Dan's catching lunkers in a place where there's no off limits and the fishing is the best. We'll miss Dan a lot.

Be sure to make time for those you care about. I meant to see him last week, drove right past his house and now he is gone. No matter how busy you are, be sure to visit your friends and family because you never know.

I'm sorry to hear about Dan. I fished with Dan a few years ago in a Delta Teen Team club tournament. After the tournament, he offered to take me out fishing sometime. So I hooked up with him a few days later and we went fishing. I really enjoyed his company and appreciated that he offered to take me out fishing. He was a good guy and I'm sure he will be missed by many.

I'm really sorry to here the news.

When I joined the BassBusters about 9 years ago Dan was one of the first people I got to know in the club. He was really great at making me feel at home and part of the Club. Back then the club was a different beast where people were tight with information and slow to bring someone new along. Dan right from the start greated me like an old friend. It's people like Dan that make the world a better place for the rest of us.

After Dan had moved I did not seen him for ages, but will miss the person he was.

My prayers are with Dan and his family.
Take Care,

Dan's service arrangements

Post by SteveH »

For those of you interested in attending the services for Dan Fisher, they will be held at Caps Oak Room, 144 Oak Street, Brentwood, CA 94513 on Wednesday, March 8th at 1:00 p.m. The phone number there is 925-634-1922.

I'm sure there will be a lot of the usual post-mortum accolades thrown around on Dan's behalf. In his case, they will all be 100% true. Dan was truly on of the good guys in our sport and a quality human being from the get-go. We will miss him terribly.
