Towing with a 200 EFI

Post by Mike »

I'm thinking about buying a boat lift thats in Dicovery Bay and I want to tow it to Russo's. Will towing it that far with by bass boat screw up my Merc. 200 EFI? I know that while towing carbon will build up, but will clear out the next time I get on pad? Of will it do permanent damage?

Borrow a high 5 prop from someone. That will be much eaiser on your motor.

BORROW/PAY someone to tow it for you, it is not worth the damage it can do to your motor, TRUST me, I have seen it happen first hand, towing other bass boats at idle or not.....YOU WERE WARNED!!!

Why tow, pull it to nearest ramp, then haul it there., if you do tow, drop too a smaller pitch on your prop, maybe a 19 or 17" for that 200 should do it.
