Skeg Repair or Replacement

Post by BSmith »

I knew it was going to eventually happen. I hit a rock while idling out of a cove and it took a chunk out of the leading edge of the skeg. Have looked around for a skeg guard but none is offered for the Pro XS 225. Can anyone refer me to a shop that does skeg repair or maybe provide some options in or around the Sac or Stockton area. Appreciate the help.

IM NOT SURE BUT I DONT THINK STUART IS AT PHILS PROPS ANYMORE, BUT IF YOUR IN THE REDDING AREA THEY DO A GREAT JOB AT A REASONABLE PRICE ON SKAG REPAIRS. THEY ARE BETTER THEN NEW WHEN THEY COME OUT OF HIS SHOP. I HAD ONE DONE ABOUT 6 YEARS AGO AND ITS JUST LIKE FACTORY TO THIS DAY.THEY GET IT DONE FAST ALSO.
