So, I found this damage underneath boat when I was fixing taillights. It’s a ‘04 Ranger. The gash/scrape is about a foot long and is real rough and sharp in spots. No idea how long it’s been there.
Anyway, anyone know the best compound to fill in the gel coat/ glass? Thanks in advance!

Easy fix. Use white Marine Tex. Sold at most Marine dealers. Follow instructions on box. Piece of cake. Rick G

Re: Damage underneath boat
Go to tap plastic and buy some white gel coat and some harding agent.sand the ruff edges alittle.put a piece of tape next to the scratch. Put some gel cost on the tape and some in the scratch and then put the taPe over the scratch to hold the gel coat. Pull the tape after it drys.wet sand with 180 grit. And polish.sounds like a lot of work but its not. Super easy.. you may have to repeat the process
