Cablela's Prodigy Reel - Anybody have one and like it

Post by x-star »

Like the title says, I would like to here if anybody has a Prodigy reel and has a comment on it. The main reason I have been looking at it is because of the features, including the flippin switch. Do you guys think a flippin switch is useless? Don't need it? For the money, it seems to have the most features. Thinking about picking one up if I here some possitive feedback.

If you don't like, can you suggest a reel that you do like. Thanks everyone.

If you want a good reel with a flippin switch get a Shimano Castiac. If you just want a great reel get one of the new style Chronarchs. They are not cheap but just about everyone who throws one of my Chronarchs buys 1 or 5. They are sweet. I have not bought any of Cabela's house brand reels but have had fairly dismal luck with BPS house brands.
