Spro frogs?

Post by rickd »

Anyone use them yet?

They say that they last longer then other frogs on the market, I know I'm tired of my weights breaking off the bottom of my current brand.

They want a few extra $$$ for them, just wondering if they are worth the money. :?:

I have used the brown eye.. er... I mean bronze eye frogs..

They rock... Far superior to the strike proof..er.. I mean fish proof.. er I mean snag proof frogs. :)

Better hook up percentages
They are easier to walk the frog
Better quality and durability
Better hooks (no need to change them out of the package)
less waterlogging

I still have about 15 snag proofs left and I will continue to fish them until I lose them or destroy them. (can you say pre-fishing, no worries about sticking fish)

But I'll have the bown eye's tied on for all my tournaments.

Sometime you actually do get what you paid for.

Thanks, that's what I wanted to know.

How do they do the weight? I know it's inside, is it glued in there?

I don't get why they just don't use weighted EWG hooks (don t' know if they make them) so there is no weight to break off?

I swear by the Snag Proof but never liked the weight glued to the bottom.

On another note...

Don't know if anyone watched the Clear Lake thing with Dean Rojas promoting his Spro frog? The guy talks like he invented frog fishing? No disrespect to him but how long has Bobby and the rest of the west coast been tossing that thing? He talks like he invented the technique! Kind of rubbed me the wrong way..

It's still a good show though, I think I've watched it 6x's.

Yes fishatano, I too believe if you can't say something nice about someone, don't say anything at all.

On another note, Dean HAS taken frog fishing to a new level, and won or almost won many major tournaments over the past couple of years with ones that were not of the quality that he now has made. And this was when NOBODY was using them during tournaments. God bless Dean Rojas!

All I need to get into the money would be the four I usually get along with a 20# kicker.
