uneven trailer tire wear
I need some help! Can someone tell me why my boat trailer tires are heavily worn on the inside of the tires. Both of them, the outside looks new? Also what might be done to correct this. I have a single axle champion. Any info would be appreciated. jeff chauvet

I would guess your axle is bent. I had the same problem with my old Nitro. Tracker Marine replaced 3 sets of tires before I figured out it was the axle. They sent a heavy duty axle and problem solved.

Probably a bent axle. i.e. too much weight with the load of the boat and all the equipment in it. Or just plain bent axle due to weak metal/fatique. Have a good alignment shop check it out. Bill K

I have a 2001 Ranger 520 with bent axles. The tire wear is horrible also and I don't know when they bent. What should I do. Call Ranger? Or go to a trailer shop and see if they can fix them?

Trailer no different than a car.
You need to take your boat trailer in at least once a year to have the axle alined.
I would look for a truck shop, not a tire shop.
It runs around $60-$100.
I do it at least twice a year.
Helps big time on the wear and tear.

On your Ranger is the tire wear on the inside or outside. On my 2000 Comanche the first four year's were on the original set.Since then i am on my second set and i can allready see the uneven wear on the outside.
Never thought of just realigning it like a vehicle.
