Still looking for help. 3:16 mighty minnow

Post by bassjhn »

Still looking for help. Has anyone fished these baits? Are they a topwater bait? Will they run deep wothout weighting them? I'll be throwing them for smallmouth. Has anyone had any success with throwing swimbaits for smallmouth?

I don't know the mighty minnow, but have other 3-16 baits. And despite what people say, I have yet to catch a smallmouth at Lake Mead. Used to catch them out of the Russian River in CA during the summer and fall on rapala jerkbaits so why not a swimbait?

Why not go to the 3-16 site?

Also try this site:

Just go fishing with it. All day. Only lure you use. Learn it. Then decide if it catches smallies. My guess is it will.

Hey Matt,
Thanks for putting up my photo. And yes Bassjhn, as you can see swimbaits do catch smallies! Good luck! I can't offer any help on the mighty minnow as I don't have any at this time, but good luck with whatever you choose to throw.
