What's involved in connecting the cranking battery? Does the something need to be done with the power of the alternator or does it connect like a standard lead acid battery? Thanks

You hook it like you normally would pos to pos and neg to neg. Download the app to the keep tab on your usage to get a feel for it what your doing while out on the water.
