Special regulation changes in Central Valley lakes

FYI--as of January 1, 2023 the special black bass regulations at Eastman, Isabella, Hensley, Kaweah, and Success no longer exist, reverting to the Statewide standard 12 inch minimum length, 5 fish bag limit at all locations.

Will some local clubs in the valley will be fishing both Hensley and Eastman more often with the 12" five fish limit again.

Eastman is too small for any decent size tournaments.

I fished with the Kerman bass club a few years ago we had 18 boats in the tournament. I won the tournament and my back seater took second and it was in oct and the lake was lower than it is now 12% at the time. Local bass clubs could fish Eastman with 20 to 25 boats now with running over each other. I won that tournament on one spot stayed on it all day. In 30 feet of water off a ledge with one small tree on it. And it's still there in about 45 feet of water today and still holding fish. All the all fish were finesse jig fish caught that day.
