Bait Monkey affects others too

Post by marinerfandave »

My good buddy is an avid golfer and the other day he was telling me how ridiculous it is that he and some of his golfing friends are constantly buying the latest and greatest clubs, golf balls, shoes, etc. He said it was never ending and no matter what you buy, within six months there is a new product coming out that is even better than what you just bought, he said it's really a disease and it's impossible to resist. I just looked at him and said "I have no idea what you are talking about and you guys are a bunch of idiots".

Just before I retired I laid in supplies of line, hooks,skirts...Basics. I have hard baits and soft bait tackle to last me. Thankfully the fish are helping conserve my money by not biting.

I was recently given a couple of BPS gift cards for a favor done. In preparation for a trip to BPS, I did a little inventory of my different bait boxes, line, hooks, weights, etc., to see what I might need. Are you kidding me? I need more? I will never use all that I have. I decided to hold the cards for now because within a year I will likely break a pole or need a knew reel and that would be money better spent.
Fish bite twice a day - half hour before I get there and half hour after I leave.

Try bowling with all the new bowling balls coming out every week bowling bags and shoes it can break you quick. If you don't have bowling sponsors. I get my equipment free but it can get very expense with league bowling and tournament bowling combined.

I started bowling in junior league in 1964 and turn to adult league and tournaments in 1975 and have been bowling now 59 years. I bowled 4 league a week for 40 years + practice between 30 to 50 games a week and I'm bowling 20 tournaments a year now. And still carry a 200 + ave being left handed has it's advantages.
