Dead Tatula where do I send it?
I killed one of my Tatula reels the other day. It friggin seized mid-cast and wasted my 40 pound braid at least my bait was still floating around while I cut all of the braid down to the knot off it.. I have never felt such a mess in my life. I don't know how long I've had it but it no longer has a pulse and I am going to miss that 8:1. I see Diawa Corp in Cypress Ca. but everything else is out of state. Any ideas or an address would be helpful for sending it off for some TLC.

Literally any reel repair place. You can drop it off at fishermans warehouse and they'll send it in to have it repaired. usually takes a few weeks.

Just drop it off a few hundred miles away from where you live, and they will send it to 265 miles away to Dawia in Cypresszethkinnettfishing wrote: ↑Mon Aug 28, 2023 10:46 am Literally any reel repair place. Rippa - your best bet is to send it to Daiwa - my long ago past experience with Daiwa service department was never good, hopefully that's changed for you. My experience with the tatula was not great the wing openings would random slam shut mid cast causing all sorts of havoc. But hey I know a bunch of dudes that love them...

I love mine but this one did some serious damage to it's gut's. I've never had a problem with the t-wing and I own 5 of them. Thanx for the input guy's.

Re: Dead Tatula where do I send it?
So the answer to the question is No Where. Discontinued model , no parts available. I bought it in the last 3 years so it's high priced trash now. bummer. Because of it's coloration I believe it might have been some sort of limited edition...Now it's pretty trash...
I doubt that would have happened if it was a Shimano sf of any type from the last ten years.Hell my last green reel can out cast all of my new ones and it was old in 05...Never been serviced.
couple of drops of oil now and then
The good new s I have one more of these reels
It's a 150HS which is gone from Tackle Warehouse I know not when.Discontinued.
