but having a kayak helps. there are no-boat lakes that are awesome, and there are lake that are an absolute hell to get to. kayaks are again awesome..
I fish solo quite often. the reasoning is 100% because my fish buds are lazy. they don't like going far, they don't like risking skunks, they don't like the unknown. hahah..
it's why I can own a mega yak like a ProAngler. I need to shimmy down the occasional (and back up) steep bank, and lighter is better.
I can't wait for the next spring season. me and google earth are friends. I drive with dog (and wife) during the winter to check out spots. do a picnic or something.
SECRET spots are...well, I am not saying nothing....
