I need to replace my bunk boards
Where can I buy the carpet in the Oakley area?
What weight do you recommend?

Re: Bunk board carpet
Places like Boatmasters, Bass Pro, and C&C sell packaged bunk board carpet already cut to width. Your only choice is black or charcoal. It’s not as cost effective to buy from a roll of carpet and cut it down yourself as it’s sold by the square yard
Re: Bunk board carpet
Does that include pcs for the side/fender areas?

No, for that you would need to buy it by the square yard. Dom's in Livermore sells marine grade carpet by the roll. Black and charcoal are pretty easy to match already but after a few trips of sitting in the sun in the parking lot you can't tell if there's ever was a difference anyhow.
Use a heavy duty stapler (electric) with SS staples and some 3M Super 90 contact spray cement and you're good to go
Big B Lumber in Oakley keeps marine grade ply in stock if you need to replace you side boards

Dom’s closed up at least a couple years ago

Bummer! Figures, I haven’t been downtown there in a couple years but now vaguely recall that

I helped Mark Keyes a few years ago do his bunks. We sourced pressure treated lumber from home depot and marine grade carpet from West Marine - West Marine had good prices locally and didnt have to purchase super large rolls. We shot it with Stainless Steel Staples with a 3/4" gap on the under side of the boards to allow for expansion/ contraction and water wicking. We carpeted the 2x4's before heading to the lake to make the job easier. also a great time to check the shakles and springs on the trailer.
