So, its Wednesday and I need to add another 10lbs of tackle to my already significant collection. It appears no one except FW is carrying Snag Proof frogs anymore. I've been to BPS, the Bass Hole (lots of scum frogs) and now Sportsman Warehouse.......Nada. Why? Fishermans Warehouse has them, but it's a long drive from the bay area to Manteca. Won't use TW anymore since I was hacked there. As a matter of fact, don't do any online tackle shopping anymore since being hacked. So as I peruse the isles at SW Brentwood, a gentleman asks me a question about fishing and we chat for about 20 min. (yes in the isle

) Anyway, turns out this guy is a WB member, Mariner Dave. It was good putting a face to a name.
Anyway on to WWN. So the route I take is usually Highway 4. Today however was my second indication that things were not going to go to well. Got to the old river bridge and the red light is on in both directions. No one is on the bridge doing work. After about 20 minutes 4 guys emerge from the controllers office that's elevated on the bridge and take their sweet time going to the other end and then do what most Cal trans folks do. (No offense to Cal Trans guys

) Another 20 minutes passes and finally the light changes and were off. It was pretty weird. OK so things should be OK now Right? Wrong......get to Ladds and try to give the gate attendant my parking fee and she tells me "We no longer accept cash, cards only". WTH. Come to find out someone broke into the kiosk and stole the cashbox. Well after all it is Stockton. (Puzzles me why they don't remove the cash at night.) Gave the girl my card and told her I better not get hacked. (I would suggest ya'll get a card for just that purpose and tell you friends about the new policy That way if it gets hacked, you have a minimum amount for that account)
Well, Josh and I head out after almost running over Richard which was number 4 bad sign. Three hours into out first stop, with 50 mph winds blowing

........OK maybe not 50 but really really windy

, finally get a 21/2 on a senko. But the wind is blowing so bad the line is pulling the senko away from the target. So I put on a weight. Doesn't help. WTH. Now you'd think, with the wind and the outgoing tide this is perfect spinnerbait water, however my spinnerbaits are home. DA move on my part. Josh picks up another one on a crankbait I think and later pops a decent keeper on..........a spinnerbait. I'm cranking and all I can get are stupid striper dinks and dinks. Oh well another lesson learned.
Congrats to Angelo and Nick for 24.31. It took 16.37 to get paid and there were 2 8+ lbers weighed.
