ANGLERS MARINE- Stepping up to the Plate!

Post by Bassimus »

A big THANK YOU! to Rick Grover of Anglers Marine for supporting my grant proposal to The Future Fisherman Foundation. Rick, we just got word and the grant was funded!
It means in the next academic year, young students will be able to participate in a fishing/boating program designed to provide opportunities to develop healthy habits, active lifestyles and learn about the wonders of fishing and conservation of our natural resources.
Our students are excited and we look forward to working with you and your staff. I'm in the process of planning with the DFG Outreach Staff to develop a strong academic based curriculum and just plain fun activities for kids to go fishing.
I'm still looking for additional support and if there is anyone on this board who has contacts in the fishing/boating industry that can assist us, it would be greatly appreciated!!
My grant proposal is centered around the basic belief that our students need a viable alternative to Drugs, Violence and Gangs. I know we can make a difference and help kids become lifelong learners and productive citizens in the future :!:
Thanks again Rick!

Ralph, please let me know how I can help you with this, I'm not as connected as I used to be but I can help on the ground for sure. It is a great idea, and Props to you for having the vision to see the need for it. That goes for Rick and Cindy as well, Props for sponsoring this program.

Your offers to help are great! I'll be contacting you soon with more details. I'm basically starting from scratch with these students so any kind of assistance (tackle/gear or whatever!) will be a big help.
Talk to you later!

I have a big adult toy in the garage. It runs on gas and batteries, nevers gives me any problems and looks good. And, when I make it go real fast you can hear it buzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz'. 8) 8)
