Today, our Restore the Delta team attended the Delta Stewardship Council Hearing and Determination.While we agree with the decision made, we strongly disagree with the reasoning behind it, specifically the allowance of piecemealing the overall Delta Conveyance Project (DCP). This sets a harmful precedent for the future of the Delta.
Our Deputy Director, Ivan Senock, was able to ask a question that unfortunately went unanswered. Additionally, our Board Secretary, Roger Mammon, who also serves as a Board Member for the California Striped Bass Association West Delta Chapter, shared a powerful statement, “DWR is the biggest predator in the Delta.”
