Not so much as it is the need to be exposed on camera to help obtain and retain the anglers sponsorship. Sponsorship $$ has actually become less and less since covid and many have stopped sponsor $$ altogether !!

U obviously have never fished a 3 day tournament. By the time u get home u have fished at least a total of 5 days and u are flat worn out. If u don’t think it’s a sport it’s cause u are still bobber fishing with ur kids and have no idea!

Fishing is a sport but does not require a person to be an athlete. You're the first one in this thread to refer to them as athletes. Fishing is more taxing than other sports that have so called "athletes".
