Hello Westernbass,
Now that Lithium battery prices are coming down, I've been doing some more research. I'd be using 36V system for Ultrex for 21 ft Triton bass boat. Some companies list their 12v 100 Ah battery, but also have one that says Trolling Motor on it, or is labeled as for Trolling Motors. What is the difference? I would think the cells are the same, so the only difference would be assembly, components, BMS. would a lithium battery without a TM label work fine for a TM usage? I am a recreational fisherman, fishing maybe a weekend per month, so the boat is sitting 26-28 days per month.
How about use of a Mini battery? How is it different other than a smaller case? How about a Group 24 size vs. 31 size?
Thanks in advance.
Lithium battery for TM?
Re: Lithium battery for TM?
The main difference is the group 31 case. I believe they also raise the constant discharge rate as well.
Most 12v x100ah batteries are a group 24 or 27 size which is what I prefer. I just setup my new Basscat with 3X12 100ah sok batteries. They are a grp 27 and I was able to install them in the same space as the factory setup for 2X31 batteries.
