For those of you who want to fish Lake Casitas at night from a boat but not fish a night tournament, Lake Casitas is having their first ever Moonlight Fishing event tonight.
The event runs from 8:30 p.m. to 12:20 a.m. and it is entirely a Catch & Release deal - with the release immediately after the catch (i.e. you cannot put any fish into the livewell). I'm sure that a photograph or two will be permitted, prior to the release.
The normal day use gate fees will apply and there is a nominal "per person" fee, with all proceeds going to lake enhancement programs.
The moon phase is perfect tonight, with an 83% full moon that raises at 5:14 p.m. and sets at 2:41 a.m. (baring any cloud cover, of course).
If you have any questions, you can call Ranger Rob at Lake Casitas at (805)649-6001.
Good Fishing!
Ron C
PS: Don't forget, all three J&T Tackle Night Team Tournament Series events this year have been won dropshotting, with the first and third (last Saturday night) won on 6 and 7 inch MM-3 and Midnight colored Roboworms in 10-15 feet of water.

Re: Lake Casitas Moonlight Fishing tonight
THE WEATHER WAS PERFECT AND WE HAD ACTION ON THE DROPSHOT ALL EVENING. WE COULDNT FIND ANY BIG FISH, OUR BIGGEST GOING ONLY 3.5. WE DID TALK TO A COUPLE OF GUYS WHO GOT ONE BITE ALL NITE. THAT BITE WAS A 14 POUNDER WHICH WAS CAUGHT WITH 25 MINUTES LEFT IN THE EVENING. (WE SAW THE PICTURE ON THEIR DIGITAL CAMERA) ALL IN ALL A VERY FUN NITE AND I SURE WISH THE WOULD DO THIS MORE OFTEN OR JUST LEAVE THE LAKE OPEN 24 HOURS PERIOD.
IF IT DOESNT FEEL NORMAL, IT PROBABLY ISN'T!
