Not really doing anything wrong....

it is just tough right now.

The bigger Spotted Bass are suspended in open water chasing shad and trout while the smallies are out on DEEP rockpiles. The largemouth are the real story here.

The last month I have only caught ONE Spot and ONE smallie, the rest have been 1-4 lb. largemouths. The best tactic has been to get on steep walls on the north fork and throw parallel using a Rico or Voo-Doo bait. I did get a 2 lb'er this morning dartheading in about 25 ft. but that has been it pretty much.

Looking forward to the FOLSOM BASS LEAGUE tournament next Sunday, you could probably stick with the topwater and mix in some finess wormin' techniques to get a limit as 12-14 lbs. will win this deal.

The fishing is pretty tough right now. I did manage to catch 11 lbs for five with two over 3lbs.I was pretty much chasing baitballs around rockpiles throwing darthead or c-rig. Witch t's on the darthead and kreature in green pumkin on the c-rig.
