Have you ever looked for Professional Help  I think a couple 1,000 volts could help, but the cost and all  Just take an extension cord to the bath next time :P
but that was a cool look into mental state!

I have enough food allergies to choke a horse, so I can really relate to your situation, although allergies like mine are not life threatening.
Try talking to some of the vegetarians in your neighborhood, or go online and google up vegetarian recipes (Just don't let your wife catch you  ). My older daughter went vegetarian that for a year, just to see if she could do it, and now she can make a brown paper bag taste good!
Sounds like you're winning. Keep at it. It's like dropshotting with 5lb flouro. It's a pain, but worth the effort when things are tough.

Remember the banana with the brown spots on it is getting sweeter and sweeter and actually tastes like a banana is supposed to taste. Once it gets really brown turning to black is when most bakers turn it into banana bread and usually not before.

Sounds like the struggle of turning things around in your diet is getting you either down or worked up, which I would suppose is normal. Life has indeed changed for you on several levels. Congrats on getting the weight drop stabilized and best of luck to you moving forward Bones.

CJ I guess I need treatment too cuz your post made all kinda sense to me! Since I had the gastric bypass on 9/19 I have lost 45 lbs but I havent had a decent thing to eat since then and everything I eat or try to drink puts a big *** ball in my chest. I know your feelings of realizing what you could have done/should have done and I too had the banana brown spot phobia but nowdays man I kill for a banana ! It all hit home with me my friend-I of course wish you the best of luck and I will be here for you to complain to or fish with-whichever you need!

Nice read, CJ...

You know damn well you will be able to control this as much as is humanly possible. You also know you've got alot of folks out here that will bend over backwards to help you if you ever need it. Even the ones that harp on you!

When I was growing up my mom made me eat the purple stuff. And the red stuff, the green stuff and darn near any other color of stuff. There was no choice! Perhaps that sheds a little light on my personality!

And sTony was right - as for bananas, the brown ones make X-L-N-T banana bread! So it'll still hopefully work out in the end!

i tossed out my purple stuff, and i regret it. bones just reading what you wrote made me think of my past, and things that did and regret. i've lived in no cal for about 10 years. ( born and raised so cal). the reason i left to come up here is to get away from the troubles that i was in. i'm an ex-gang member from san fernando valley. i just got out of jail for attempted murder/ arm robbery, and made a promise to turn my life around.( which i did). i've been working for the same company for 10 years now, and go by all the rules in life.(law) i left all my friends without telling most of them where i was going so they would not follow. since i've been gone one of my best friends OD'ed and died. 2 of my other friends are doing life in prison. i found out friday that one of my best buds snapped. he beat a store clerk to death with a baseball bat for no reason, but that he was angry. i have not been in contact with these people for years, but it still hurts to hear it. i keep telling myself, if only i was there to help. could i have made a difference. it has ate me up for years. my purple stuff was my old friends. i left them to better my life. i sure wish i didnt throw them out. i seen this kinda stuff coming, i wish i took some of them with me. sorry for ranting but you made me think of it. and it felt kinda good to get off my chest. thank you.

Never sure what you will come up with, but, it is always interesting. I've been lurking for a long time, just not posting much. I'm always looking for the 'perfect' fishing thread, or the very funny. Of which you have been a big part of the last couple of years

Hope things are getting better, or at least bearable, and keep a positive attitude. Wish ya all the best.

Hey buddy...we all learn to deal with the "purple stuff" in our own way, at our own time...

Some of us are forever in denial. It takes extreme conditions to cause us to confront our existence when we don't get to define the terms...
Once again, you step up to the plate, puttin it out there...keepin it real for those of us payin' attention.
Perspective is 99% perception... & 100% insight

Whatever you need...I'm there
