Post by bassbusta01 »

I am getting into swimbait fishing I just bought the Okuma split grip big bait special and need a reel to put on it now I have shimano curados but I wasn't sure on the line capacity and thought maybe a round reel would be better.Any help with this matter would be great thanks

Anther reel to consider is the Quantum Cabo (designed for salt water) reels. If you're throwing mono, the CBC30 has a wide spool that you can get a lot of line on. For braid, the CBC20 is about the size of your Curado. These are just a bit more heavy duty than the Curados IMHO.

not sure what your price range is, but try the luna 300....it's out of stock at tacklewarehouse, but check out the link anyways.

If your looking for a good reel for different size baits then the
Luna 253. If your throwing the bigger swimbaits then the Luna 300 would be the way to go.

How about the new Curado 300. It has excellent line capacity and a 6:3:1 gear ratio and costs only $249.00. A nice Christmas present? Tell Santa!
