Boat Insurance?

Post by William Penn »

Curious if anyone knows if a insurance company will repair an outboard if the injectors plugged and caused it to sieze up?

This would be excluded under your part 4 coverage for "mechanical failure/ wear tear". Coverage to an outboard is only covered when the damage is caused from an "unintentional sudden event" such as ramming your engine into your garage. So you could actually ram the engine into brick wall, causing it to explode, which would take care of your injector problem. Just joking, not completely recommended.
