Just ordered my 1st Hud,
Can't wait to get out on the water.Might be a couple more weeks though,8 degrees here last night and won't get out of the 20's for a high tomorrow.Lots of time to read and learn the art of swimbaits.GB...Jim

i just started swimbait fishing last year. leave all the other rods at home and bring only swimbait.

I don't know which one you ordered but...For some reason I struggled with the Hudd until a friend of mine told me to fish the sinker like it is a Jig
Wow...was he right...my first swimbait fish came out of 45ft slow dragging it on the bottom....now I am slowly getting confidence with the slow sinker and the top water Hudd..

I wanna fish Oroville, Folsom, and the Delta... What color Huddleston do you recommend? What size line do you guys use?

I got the 12 JT,figured thatwould be a good place to start.I was doing some reading onit over at swimbaitnation last night for about 3 hours and decided that was probibly the best way to go.GB...Jim

If you are going to fish a hudd I would use any color trout YOU prefer because, if a fish is going to commit to eating a swimbait it doesnt matter if its the holdover, rainbow, or shasta color. This is your decision which color YOU have the most confidence in. Good luck
